The mission of New Winston Museum is to preserve the cultural history of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County, and to inspire our citizens to incorporate our past in creating a great future for our community. NWM’s focus is on time periods since the Civil War. Exhibits and programs emphasize the recent past – the time within the memories of our oldest citizens. The museum is dedicated to sharing the extraordinary everyday stories of all branches of the community, engaging visitors of all ages in new ways of thinking. As NWM grows, they expand their vital collaborations with schools and universities, libraries, museums, and historical groups in Forsyth County.
